Growing up, I enjoyed going out with my family to purchase a real Christmas tree. I found so much joy in standing by the trees and seeing how they were so much taller than me! After we’d purchase the tree, we would take it home and decorate it with lights, candy canes, garland, ornaments, and ornaments my siblings and I made at school. We did this all the while listening to and singing our favorite Christmas carols. Now, if you would like your kids to share wonderful memories like this, I believe a real Christmas tree would be perfect for you.
The only problems I had with real trees were, cleaning up the needles and taking the tree down after Christmas. I remember some years not having the Christmas tree taken down until late January, because no one wanted the job of removing everything. If you are like me when it comes to taking down a Christmas tree I would suggest an artificial tree. Although, I enjoyed my childhood decorating memories, artificial trees are so much easier. I don’t have to worry about buying the perfect tree because it is already made for me. Not to mention it is environmentally friendly! Fake trees come in so many different textures, that they can easily be mistaken for a real tree. Some are pre-lit. Some come with lights and decorations. And if you would like to enjoy some quality time with your kids, some come where you can decorate them. I have come to love artificial tree , because of the beautiful colors. I have had a green, white, and pink tree. I wonder what other colors they come in! I also, love the variety of size they come in. Every year I setup my 6 feet tall tree in the living area and 3 feet tall tree in different bedrooms. If that doesn’t take the cake, I completely love not having to buy a new tree every year. Not only am I saving the environment, I am saving some cash in my wallet.
